Ormoc City - Consumers in the province of Leyte will now be assured of a steady supply of fresh and local pork after The Pork Shop opened their first branch in the city today. The Pork Shop recently held the grand opening of their branch in Naval, Biliran last month. The branch is the first of many branches that were lined up to open in major economic areas in the province through their franchisee Atty. Manuel Montejo, Jr. Eastern Visayas, specifically the province of Leyte has several municipalities that were hit by ASF forcing the government to cull at least 4,000 hogs. This resulted to shortage in supply and driving prices of pork to a higher than normal level. With the opening of the branch in Ormoc City, Atty.
