The Department of Health in Eastern Visayas (DOH-8) on Friday, Mar. 13, has reported seven (7) new Patients Under Investigation (PUIs) who have travel history from different countries making the total PUIs to 25 in Eastern Visayas. This was announced by Dr. Minerva P. Molon, DOH-8 regional director during the press conference held at the DOH-8 Conference Room. Of the seven PUIs, three were admitted to the hospital while four are on home quarantine depending on the severity of the symptoms. Meanwhile, DOH-8 has reported 23 Persons Under Monitoring (PUM) who are currently on home quarantine. Said PUMs are distributed as follows: Leyte (9), Tacloban City (5), Biliran (2), Southern Leyte (2), Northern Samar (2), Ormoc City (1), Samar (1), and Eastern Samar (1). (PIA)
