Zero cases of COVID-19 in Ormoc City

 COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN

As of June 20, 2022, the Department of Health – Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 62,105 with total recoveries at 61,421 (98.89%) and total deaths at 669 (1.07%). This brings the total active cases to 15 (0.02%).

16 new cases were recorded from June 13 to June 19, 2022 out of 1,796 laboratory test results. All samples were tested in the four (4) COVID-19 Laboratories of the Region – Eastern Visayas Regional COVIDD-19 Testing Center (EVRCTC), Divine Word Hospital Virology Laboratory (DWHVL), Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center (OMDC) and Salvacion Oppus Yniguez Memorial Provincial Hospital – Molecular Laboratory (SOYMPHML). This represents a 0.89% positivity rate.

There are zero (0) severe cases admitted in our hospitals due to COVID-19. Out of 53 ICU beds intended for patients with COVID-19, 7 (13.46%) are occupied. Meanwhile, 18.64% of 1,207 non-ICU COVID-19 beds are currently being used.

2,727,588 individuals or 69.5% of our target population have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 while 305,415 individuals have already received their booster shots. On the other hand, 69.3% of our target A2 population have already received their primary series.

With the downgraded Alert Level status in the different parts of the region and the gradual decline of our COVID-19 cases in the region, let us continue to be vigilant and practice the minimum public health standards in all settings. As we go through a more lenient implementation of our border restrictions which cause our mobility to increase, it is very important to still practice our health protocols. The public is also reminded that intensified vaccination rollout against COVID-19 is still being conducted all over the region. Vaccines are still our best defense against the virus and its variants. Get vaccinated and boosted for strengthened community protection.

TOGETHER WE CAN #BeatCOVID-19!
