Miss Ormoc 2019 Aura Shaznay Tumulak makes it to Miss World Philippines 2019

Congratulations to our very own Miss Ormoc 2019 Aura Shaznay Tumulak (center) for being one of the finalists of this year's edition of Miss World Philippines 2019. 37 ladies made it to the final screening and another 3 more ladies from Continental Miss Philippines America will complete the official 40 candidates for this edition. The winners will represent the Philippines in Miss World to be held in London, Miss Eco International in Egypt, Miss Multinational in India and Reina Hispanoamericana in South America.

Aura Shaznay Tumulak is trained by one of the popular beauty camps in the country Aces and Queens (popular beauty queens like Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wutzbach, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, and Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza)

Screening was held recently at the C3 Events Place, Greenhills, San Juan City, Metro Manila.

A woman was arrested in a buy-bust in Ormoc City

A woman was arrested in a buy-bust along Zone 3, Malbasag Dist. 28 about 1:45 a.m. Friday (Feb. 1). City Drug Enforcement Unit chief P/SInsp. Romeo Franklyn Parangan identified the suspect as Mae Quintana, 30, a mother of two and residing in Barugo, Leyte. Parangan said Quintana is the live-in partner of April Jan Arevalo, who was arrested last October in a buy-bust operation in the same area. Police tagged Arevalo, a drug surrenderee, as a high-value target. Recovered from Quintana was one small sachet containing suspected shabu procured by a poseur-buyer operative at P1000, and two P500 cash used as marked money for the operation. Also seized was a sachet that contains five small plastic sachets containing suspected shabu each worth about P500. Quintana did not say anything when asked about the shabu in her possession. Charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were being readied against the suspect who was jailed at the female detention cell of Police
