The re-elected and newly-elected officials of the City of Ormoc lead by Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez (now on his 2nd term) took his oath of office together with Vice Mayor Toto Locsin (last term) and the 10 City Councilors held at the Ormoc City Superdome.
Present during the inauguration are Barangay officials of this City, City Government employees from department offices, and non-Government organizations.
Mayor Gomez looking forward for a green modern city that would eliminate the use of plastics in 2020 and renewable use of energy that will enable the City to conserve on the use of fossil fuels and replace it with solar energy (like the solar powered jeepneys) or other means in the protection of our environment. The Mayor also said the he is planning for other major infrastructure projects like farm to market roads, diversion roads, public markets in different barangays that would help in decongesting the main public market of the City. He also plans to repair other infrastructure for it to be effecient and usable public buildings like the old public market, museum, library, lechon houses, and fruit stalls etc.
We are seeing a developed and progressive Ormoc City in the leadership of Mayor Gomez.
More investment to come. - AdminWowie
