Filipinos in Dubai witnessed a scenic light presentation of our Philippine flag in celebration of our Philippine Independence day

By:AdminWowie

Filipinos and their fellow residents in Dubai are in for a treat last June 12 as the Dubai Festival City Mall hosted a uniquely customized two-time record-breaking IMAGINE show – a spectacular display of lights and sounds featuring the colors of the Philippine flag for the first time ever.

Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes inaugurated the first show taking place last June 12 at 9:00 pm. The lights, water, and laser show is free-to-attend and is expected to draw in thousands of Dubai residents as Dubai Festival City Mall celebrates 121 years of the Philippine Independence together with the Filipino community in the UAE.

To mark the 121st Philippine Independence Day, the exclusive show will project some iconic landmarks from the Philippines accompanied by whimsical fountains and lasers lit up with the flags’ red, blue, white and yellow colors choreographed to popular tunes.

  1. My most recent event was the drone shows; we couldn't believe our minds when we first saw Omniyat light up the Palm Dubai sky. That was just wonderful. Didn't you hear and see it?

Ejercito: Passage of bill granting civil service eligibility to SK kagawads

Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito on Thursday urged lawmakers to pass the measure that seeks to grant civil service eligibility to Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councilors. Ejercito, in filing Senate Bill No. 2185, or the bill that seeks to amend the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Reform Act of 2015 (Republic Act No. 10742), said he believed youth councilors should also be granted civil service eligibility.
